Golden Gate is a 'California Common' style beer: a hybrid that uses lager (bottom-fermenting) yeast but is fermented at higher ale temperatures. This style is often called “steam beer”, a name which has been trademarked by the San Francisco company that brews the best known example: Anchor Brewing. The yeast, caramel malt and assertive American hops give it a unique flavour that many credit with launching the American craft beer revolution.
Finding Das Good Stuff is a 4.4% ABV German Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with Little Monster Brewing Co. Crafted with premium German hops and malts, this beer delivers a refreshing, easy-drinking experience. Aromas of melon, wild strawberry, and peach from Huell Melon, Hallertau Blanc, and Callista hops balance perfectly with a clean malt backbone, making it irresistibly chuggable.
Appearance: Pale gold with a slight haze and a bright white head. Aroma: Notes of ripe melon, wild strawberry, and juicy peach with a subtle floral undertone. Flavour: Refreshing and balanced with fruity hop flavours complemented by a clean, slightly malty finish. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied, crisp, and effervescent.
Field Day is a bold yet balanced Rye IPA, brewed in collaboration with Roosters Brewing Co. Pouring a deep amber-red, it showcases vibrant American hops delivering citrus, tropical, and stone fruit aromas. The spicy, bready rye malt backbone adds depth, complementing the smooth mouthfeel. A clean, crisp finish leaves a lingering hop bitterness and subtle rye warmth, making this IPA both complex and refreshing.
This beer is a tribute to all Mums, everywhere. Without them we wouldn't be able to make wonderful beers like these for you to enjoy. The beautiful people on this label depict the mothers of our Hackney Church Brew Co. team. Thank you to each and every one of them.
As you sip this Hazy IPA spare a thought for your Mum, give her a call if you can, better still share this beer with them and be thankful for the mother figure in your life. Feel the warm embrace of tropical passionfruit, citrus and pineapple flavours, and, with a smooth, velvety mouthfeel that lingers like a warm hug from Mum.
A purely belta blonde ale! A session ale with a harmonious and subtle blend of sweet citrus, passion fruit, honey, and light malt.
Brewed in collaboration with Cambridge Wine Merchants, Wylde Sky’s Cambridge Hazy Pale is a tropical, juicy delight. Citra, El Dorado, Amarillo, and Ekuanot hops deliver bold mango, passion fruit, and citrus flavours, while a smooth malt bill, including oats and wheat, ensures a soft mouthfeel. This award-winning 4.6% ABV brew is super refreshing, bringing a taste of the tropics to Cambridge.
Shadow of the Void is an 8.6% ABV Imperial Stout that delves into the depths of rich malt complexity. An evolution of The Shadow of Darkness, this beer is brewed with Phoenix hops and a carefully crafted malt bill to create layers of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, and caramel. Smooth yet bold, its full-bodied character and balanced bitterness offer an unadulterated journey into darkness, celebrating pure brewing artistry.
Duet is a hazy pale ale brewed in collaboration with Handyman Brewery. Showcasing Strata and Citra hops, it bursts with tropical fruit aromas and flavours, including passionfruit, grapefruit, and citrus zest. A soft barley malt base provides a smooth, velvety mouthfeel, balancing the juicy hop expression with minimal bitterness. A tribute to shared roots, it's vibrant, modern, and refreshing.
